Multifunction band ligator LigaPrem

Multifunctional and multidisciplinary applicability
in esophageal varices and hemorrhoids.

Rubber band ligation is one of the most commonly performed and least expensive procedures for the minimally invasive outpatient treatment of hemorrhoids and esophageal varices.

Almost all known rubber band ligatores have the following drawbacks:

  • It is a spool on which the wire is reeled manually therefore a number of rubber bands will be wasted during the surgical procedure.
  • The handles for them are rotated manually, which create a negative reverse force that destabilizes the device.
  • They need an extra and special attachment for mounting.
  • They are not suitable for different sized ligating units.

With the newly developed LigaPrem the above described disadvantages are efficiently eliminated.

LigaPrem is based on pull–pressure principle, so no additional fastening is required. With Automatic recoil wire winder mechanism, the ligating unit will be automatically attached to the tip of the Endoscope in the preparation phase. In addition, LigaPrem ensures purposeful and safe application of only one rubber band on the medicated spot approach each trigger. It‘s compatible with all kind of different sized ligation units.

LigaPrem Adapter provides the possibility to anyone in the endoscope team to control the release of the rubber rings.

Advantages:

  • Ensuring that only one rubber band is applicable on the affected spot using a very focused and safe approach each trigger.
  • Automatic recoil wire winder.
  • Trigger mechanism is based on pull–pressure principle.
  • Compatible with all kind of endoscopes.
  • Compatible with all kind of different sized ligation units.

  • Safe and user friendly device.
